There is Right and there is Wrong

How imperceptibly the lines have blurred over time between right and wrong, until many folks who were never taught the difference now accept the lie that it is only your own paradigm that determines truth. And so truth and right and wrong can shift and slide as your paradigm slides over time; adjusting to your varying circumstances as you stumble through life. How much more secure and stable is the man who is able to stand on an immovable rock and make judgment calls and decisions based on a timeless standard. How valuable is that man to his friends and family who know they can count on his consistent responses and advice through the ups and downs of life. How much easier it is to think clearly when the lines are clearly drawn, and what peace of mind that brings.

At the root of not wanting to accept that there is "wrong" is the determination to do what we want to do, and to justify that position. If we stubbornly persist in going down that road, we will certainly pay a price - sooner or later.

28 “When they cry for help, I will not answer. Though they anxiously search for me, they will not find me. 29 For they hated knowledge and chose not to fear the Lord. 30 They rejected my advice and paid no attention when I corrected them. 31 Therefore, they must eat the bitter fruit of living their own way, choking on their own schemes. 32 For simpletons turn away from me—to death. Fools are destroyed by their own complacency. 33 But all who listen to me will live in peace, untroubled by fear of harm.”
Proverbs 1:28-33
